Welcome to The Yoga Hut Fife. A peaceful little haven hidden away in Newmills Fife, run by Jemma Black, Hatha Yoga Teacher.
Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Jemma, and I trained with Yoga Master, Morag Wilson, from the Jyoti Yoga Teacher Training School. I passed the Yoga Teacher Training 200 hours certificate with Distinction in 2019, and added an extra 100 hours to my training in 2022. I am registered for life with Yoga Alliance International (Europe). and continue my relationship with the Jyoti Yoga school as a support teacher and lecturer for teacher training weekends.
Since qualifying as a Yoga Teacher I have continued my professional and personal development, taking part in courses and webinars including;

By making yoga enjoyable, empowering and accessible, The Yoga Hut Fife, offers Zoom Classes that are uniquely designed for a wide variety of ability, varying body shapes and sizes and flexibility.
Zoom Yoga Classes integrate yoga poses (asanas), with options given for inclusive practise, and breathwork as part of a holistic technique. Designed so that you can practise in the privacy of your own home, your hotel room or holiday accommodation, you can move from Savasana (relaxation) straight to the comfort of your couch!

One To One Sessions
Yoga Is Self Care
The Yoga Hut One to One Sessions allow students to dive deeper into a bespoke yoga practice, designed specifically for the individual. The focus is on alignment and breath, with a special emphasis on professional technique that teaches us how to reconnect and rejuvenate our bodies. This is a popular way to explore what is right for you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Clients use One to One sessions for a variety of reasons. For some it is a way of trying out a session before coming to group classes to gain confidence or to learn how to make adjustments for particular conditions, and get the best out of their practise. Others use it as an addition to regular practise to enhance or perfect technique and some use these sessions for personal attention after illness or injury.
However you choose to use these sessions is entirely up to you and everything is tailored to your needs.

Aligning With Yourself
Group classes are a perfect way to align and restore, with the additional benefit of a much needed sense of community and connection. Classes are designed to be all inclusive. Focussing on traditional Yoga themes of Asana (postures), Pranyama (yogic breathing) and Savassana (relaxation), we work through the balancing principles of Hatha yoga. Adjustments and alternative positions are instructed as part of the sequence, which means all classes are suitable for varying ages, abilities, restrictions or body shape.
Classes are booked in 4 weekly blocks. However if work / life circumstances mean that you cannot commit to block booking, I can offer drop in slots in some classes.

In this 6 session programme we explore therapeutic yogic techniques and sequences that will support you on your journey towards peace of mind, giving you tools to support yourself when going through anxious times and beyond.

Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation that takes you to the state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, and induces deep peace and calm. Especially beneficial for those that struggle with insomnia, stress or anxiety.
The practise is pure relaxation and delivered via Zoom so that you can get yourself as cosy and comfortable as possible in the comfort of your own home.
Sessions are held every six weeks with a different theme at the centre of each practise.

Restorative Classes are held on the last Friday of every month and are the perfect way to melt into the weekend. A deeply soothing experience for the body and mind, restorative practice is exactly what it says, restoring energy and calming the body, nervous system and mind. The class is slow and supported with the use of yoga props to enhance deep relaxation as a way of reconnecting with yourself. We end the class with a mini Nidra.
Booking a restorative class could well be the best gift you can give to yourself.
